DUDLEY ADVANCE II

Advance II – Leading the way

Dudley College of Technology was looking to augment its existing facilities with a building in which advanced construction technologies could be learned and practised. Having first sought the experience of its alliance partners to confirm what these technologies should be, the team collectively set out to provide a facility that would reflect the forward thinking nature of this new student offering and at the same time become the world’s first IPI Model project completed.  With impressive results including 6.5% saving on the investment target, Advance II has become an award winning project.

DERBY SILK MILL

Museum of Making – A story of Renewal

Derby Museums was seeking funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to sustainably restructure their existing accommodation and create the Museum of Making as a celebration of the ingenuity of innovators and makers, both old and new. In doing so, it looked to the latest delivery innovation of IPI to ensure the high-quality museum would be ready for reopening on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Silk Mill and world’s first factory, 300 years on (in 2021).

INSTITUTE OF TRANSFORMATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

IoTT – Pushing the boundaries of education

Dudley College of Technology answered government calls for bids to provide new institutes of technology. The institute will provide transformational training in sectors of advanced manufacturing, modern construction methodologies and medical engineering, including digital and artificial intelligence application. Unsurprisingly, given the experience of Advance II, the college again adopted the IPI Model to deliver the project for completion in 2021.
